Taylor decided to take an impromptu trip to Boston to avoid the job-application blues, visiting her friend Lindsey at Boston College for the first time in nearly four years. That Saturday, they went to a bar called Tavern In The Square (or, famously, TITS), where Lindsey's roommate aptly noted there were only two attractive guys that night: A guy in blue and a guy in grey. That guy in grey — after Taylor made the first move — was a keeper. "Hey Taylor! It's Tim from last night. Glad you survived your first night at TITs. If you ever make your way up to Boston again shoot me a text. Hope your trip back to NJ went ok." (First text, Nov. 12, 2017)
Tim proposed along the Georgetown waterfront, on the way to one of their favorite coffee spots. It was a crisp day — crisp enough that Taylor had worn a not-so-flattering wool headband. Tim was desperate to get that headband off; after all, the plan was for Taylor's friend Brittany to sneakily take pictures of the engagement. After two miles of fast-walking failed to warm her up enough to discard the garment, Tim told her, "You should take it off because ... I like seeing your forehead." Admittedly, she knew after that point — but him asking still took her breath away.
