It's less than 10 minutes to the venue via shuttle and about 15 from downtown Santa Barbara. We have a room block available if you would like to stay two nights! Planes, Trains & Automobiles
The closest major airport is in Los Angeles (LAX). Depending on traffic, the drive to the Santa Barbara may be as short as 2 hrs. 15 min. or as long as 3 hr. 30 min…driving between 10 AM and 2 PM is the best time to drive from LAX to the Santa Barbara. For those of you flying in, LAX is likely the least expensive option and then you may rent a car. Santa Barbara (SBA) and Santa Maria (SMX) also have airports, and have domestic commercial flights! For those of you who wish to make a vacation out of your visit to California, you may fly into San Diego (SAN) or San Francisco (SFO) and drive up or down the coast. For local Californians and those that do not wish to rent a car, you may ride the Amtrak – Pacific Surfliner. It stops at all of the major cities up and down the coast, including Santa Barbara. We will provide complimentary transportation from the Kimpton Goodland to the wedding. Please view our schedule for details.
