Tim and I matched on Hinge at the end of April in 2020. He initiated the conversation as we had both been shark cage diving. I wasn't very good at responding to my messages so he almost stopped talking to me but thankfully I responded just in time. All of the bars were still shut down because of COVID so he asked if I wanted to have a FaceTime date. I remember feeling excited and nervous! The date went really well- we talked for 3 hours! We then met later that week on a Friday and walked through the Arboretum in Madison. It was a beautiful night in May and our walk went really well! We ended up getting takeout from Laurel Tavern (fish fry!) and went back to Tim's place to talk more and listened to music. We discovered we shared a lot of similar interests: love of sports, being outdoors, exercising, playing games, going to breweries, exploring new places, camping, and just being lazy together. We spent a lot of time together and never got sick of each other so we decided to keep each other around. He officially asked me to be his girlfriend in July of 2020. Since then we have taken many trips together. We have been to the Ozark Mountains in Arkansas, Little Rock in Arkansas, camping in northern WI/ the Upper Peninsula in Michigan, camping in Kentucky, Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinatti, among other small day / weekend trips. The most exciting trip of all though was camping in The Smoky Mountains this past October in Tennessee where he proposed! We hiked 6 miles up to the Mt. Cammerer Lookout Tower. The first four miles were brutal but the last two miles went by pretty fast. The views were stunning and while we were taking in the views from the tower, I looked down and Tim was on one knee and popped the question! It was the perfect spot to propose. We had a beer on top of a rock nearby afterwards to celebrate. It was one of the best days. Hiking back down was much easier and I was just so happy that it felt like it went by quickly! We can't wait to celebrate our love with all of you!
