Question

Wedding Day Dress Code

Answer

Our dress code is BLACK Semi-Formal, and the only rule is that your attire must be BLACK—beyond that, feel free to express yourself and “knock us dead” with your look! Think elevated elegance: cocktail dresses, formal jumpsuits, dressy separates, suits, or tailored blazers with dress pants and a tie. While your main outfit should be black, you’re welcome to add personality with colorful or metallic shoes, jewelry, or other accessories. Fabrics and patterns like lace, sequins, velvet, or subtle designs are more than welcome, as long as black is the dominant color. If you’re bringing little ones, the same guideline applies—black attire with a semi-formal vibe.

Question

Ceremony Travel & Arrival Information

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 PM. Please allow extra time for traffic and note that the road to the venue is paved but winding, as we're out in the country. Gates will open at 4:00 PM and close at 4:45 PM, so please plan to arrive on time. If you arrive after 4:45 PM and the gates are closed, please be respectful of the ceremony and do not honk or shout across the lake. The gates will reopen for late arrivals once the ceremony is over. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Question

Accommodations

Answer

Our wedding will be in Groveland, FL, and while we don’t have a block of rooms, there are plenty of hotel options 20-35 minutes away in Clermont. For a more homey or group-friendly stay, consider vacation rentals on Airbnb or Vrbo in the Clermont area. Just be sure the location works for our Groveland venue!

Question

Plans for Friday Night?

Answer

WELCOME NIGHT IN DOWNTOWN CLERMONT Join us for a laid-back evening starting at Comic Controllers. It’s a place full of fun, pop culture vibes, and delicious floats! Grab some pizza, sip on your favorite float, and feel free to come by anytime—this is a “come when you can, leave when you need to” kind of night. Matt and I will be at Comic Controllers from 6:00 to 7:30 PM before heading out to enjoy the rest of the evening downtown. Afterward, we might head across the street to the English Bar or try our luck throwing axes just one block away. We can’t wait to see you there! Dress Code: Casual but Cute

Question

The Morning After

Answer

Join us the morning after the wedding—whether you’re part of the hangover club or ready for one last adventure before heading home! We’ll be gathering at Jessie’s house (Rachel’s sister) in Clermont, Florida. The address will be shared during the wedding weekend. Dress Code: Come as you are – casual and hangover-friendly! Feel free to stop by anytime starting at 10:00 AM and stay as long as you’d like—it’s the perfect chance for one last goodbye before we wrap up this unforgettable weekend!

Question

What’s the weather going to be?

Answer

Expect beautiful Florida weather as we celebrate our big day! On our wedding weekend, the temperatures in Clermont typically range from the low 60s in the morning to the mid-70s in the afternoon, with clear skies and a gentle breeze. It’s the perfect climate for outdoor festivities, so be sure to bring a light jacket or sweater for the evening, as temperatures may dip slightly after sunset.
