It was the first day of practice sophomore year of Track and Field season, her freshman year and I yelled at her for throwing the discus wrong. A few years ago I was in a really low place at work. I was depressed, stressed out, and clearly being taken advantage of. I remember feeling so alone and fustrarted that it even started to take a toll on my mental health. Most people don't even know this Frankie would travel over 2 hours to be by my side just to show his love and support for me. On his days off he would travel to work with me and provide me the support I was being neglected of. He taught me how to be a better leader for my team while being my friend first and mentor second. Since then Frankie has continuously been the friend to simply check in on how I'm doing, treat me to a hot meal, and provide my the optimism to overcome my challenges.
