Day one in America. Not even. I was running on 3 hours sleep from a 26 hour trip, I was jet lagged, my bags were delayed. Everything you'd want to be for your engagement I'm sure. Anyway, we drove home, I met his parents for the first time, I had a shower, put on some daggy clothes, just to wear until I could let myself sleep without waking up at 2am. We decided to do some gardening with the family, we brought out the tractor, did some pruning, and then he tripped! Or so I thought... If you know Kiev you can probably assume his original plan. A nice proposal while out hiking in the lush forrests of Oregon. But as I was only in America for 2 weeks, those plans went out the window the day I landed in favour of being able to show off his new fiancée and savour the little time we had together.
