We met at Virginia Tech's most infamous college bar Top of the Stairs. It was the first weekend we got back from Christmas break during our junior year. Somehow, we managed to go two and a half years without ever noticing one another. As our friends who were there that night can attest, the second our eyes met for the first time the rest was history. They actually ended up leaving without us and we walked back holding hands- the first night we met!

The official start of the craziest week of our life happened on May 10th at Beliveau Estate Winery just a short drive from Virginia Tech. Cody was supposed to wait to propose in front of all of our family and friends at our graduation party that weekend AFTER our graduations and commissionings, but apparently he just couldn't! With just a few great friends, an absolutely beautiful landscape, and a few glasses of delicious Beliveau winery wine, she said yes!
