Like every true love story, ours starts with a DM slide. At this time Blake was living in Chicago and Tiffany was living in Indianapolis. However, due to both of their connections to each other's current home, they both believed they were closer to each other than a map would say. One day while scrolling Instagram Tiffany saw this very tall and handsome man who looked like he also attended the same gym as her. So in typical Tiffany fashion, she shot over a friend request to do some more creeping. Blake quickly accepted and decided to do some creeping of his own. They both unfortunately realized that they were not actually living in the same town and seemed that this wasn't going to be the love story they had hoped for. A few months passed when neither Blake nor Tiffany acted on the initial friend request and they both watched (very closely) as each other continued to live their lives. Randomly, late one night, Blake was scrolling Instagram stories and saw Tiffany was in Florida looking stunning (as usual), and decided now was the perfect time to shoot his shot. So, he took a deep breath and sent over his best pickup line; a fire emoji. This, sadly, was left on read for the next few days... As we all know now this isn't where this story ends. Now a few days later Tiffany is up at 5am getting ready for the gym and she gets the urge to circle back to that cute guy who slid in her DM's last weekend. She scrolls his page and stumbles upon the fact this man isn't just some cute guy; He is a cute guy with a GORGEOUS Golden Retriever. Now she knew this was her chance to act and she immediately goes and likes a 6 month old picture with Blake and Walter in it. This game of photo liking tag goes back and forth about 3 more times until Blake decides to go back into the DM's and introduce himself properly this time. After a brief back-and-forth of corny jokes and intentional flirting, they realize that the next weekend Blake is going to be back in Indianapolis. They decide on a casual Sunday afternoon meet-up for some margaritas at one of their favorite restaurants, Bakersfield. Sunday finally arrives and after a long day of travel for Blake and an even longer day of Grad School presentations for Tiffany, it's finally time to meet. Blake shows up at Tiffany's apartment in joggers (Tiffany will be sure to point this out for the rest of time) and Walter. After Walter and Tiffany hit it off for 20 minutes of them playing and her giving him treats and new toys (This is when Blake knew she was special), they finally made their way to Bakersfield. They settled up on some barstools and started off with a pitcher and began telling each other about their day, then their week, and quickly (and effortlessly) led to discussing their lives. One pitcher turned into two and then into a third, up until it was time for the bar to kick them out and send them home. This was their first weekend together and they haven't spent a weekend apart since.

Over the course of their relationship so far; travel and adventures have been the focus for pretty much every step. This weekend would choose to be no different. Early in the winter Tiffany decided it crucial to plan a trip to Aspen because it was one of her favorite places and she was sure Blake would feel the same way. Tiffany taught herself how to ski over a few years prior and Blake, well Blake was a basketball player and preferred indoor sports. Over the next couple months Tiffany had been getting Blake adjusted to skiing in the great hills of Wisconsin with their trip to Aspen looming just weeks away. After a few "successful" trips to Wisconsin, we were ready to take our talents out west. While Tiffany spent the last few months worried about Blake breaking something in Aspen; Blake had been stressing the biggest day of their lives coming up. Blake decided that one way to make your first time skiing a mountain more enjoyable was to do it with the most expensive item he has ever purchased in his pocket the entire time. Blake spent those few months prior to trip planning reservations, looking up best views and places to propose, and finding photographers that could capture this moment. Somehow from 2,000 miles away it seemed that everything was falling into place and the trip to Aspen was underway! The day had finally arrived and the plans were in place. We began the day by skiing a very beginner friendly mountain and having a nice breakfast before heading to Aspen mountain where we had plans to have lunch and party at Cloud9. This restaurant was near the very top of the mountain and required you to be able to ski in and ski out... Finally getting to the restaurant, Blake excused himself to use the restroom before we sat outside and enjoyed the view. Once inside and away from Tiffany, he found the photographer to coordinate last minute details and also ran to the bathroom to fix his hair for one final time before the big moment. Now back outside the moment finally began to sink in for Blake and he was very ready to ask the question he knew he would be asking ever since the day they met. So Blake and Tiffany walked around the restaurant a little to enjoy the amazing view. They took a couple selfies before Blake convinced Tiffany to take a couple steps towards the view and he would take some photos of her. With her back turned, Blake got down on his knee and pulled out the ring waiting for Tiffany to turn back around. When she finally did her emotions got the best of her and she began to cry as Blake finally asked her "Will you marry me?". Tiffany responded with a joyful, teary yes and embraced each other at what felt like the top of the world. Over the next few hours they decided that they wanted to enjoy this moment with themselves so they sent out a couple texts before going inside to Cloud9 where they danced, drank and sprayed champagne getting ready to spend their rest of their lives as a team! We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage and next chapter with all of you! See you all in Los Cabos!!
