We will honor whatever policy the venue, West 6th Nulu, has in place. Bear in mind it's possible that this may include the increasingly implemented policy of requiring either proof of vaccination *or* a negative COVID test within 72 hours of entering the venue (although as of 8/19, that is *not* their official policy). While we do not anticipate masks being mandated by the venue (especially since our reception is a private event apart from other areas of the venue), obviously please feel free to wear one. If any drastic changes occur to any of the above between now and the reception, we will do our best to pass along any updates.
First of all, we must insist you wear clothes. Second of all, we'd prefer those clothes be cocktail attire.
In addition to a large, grazing charcuterie table, an array of hors d'oeuvres from Mayan Cafe will be served.
Along with a half dozen of West 6th's beer selections, modest wine and bourbon options will be available. Non-alcoholic beverages including bottled water, sparkling water, soda, and coffee will also be offered.
About that . . . After booking our reception it was announced that a multi-block street festival (NuluFest) would be taking place on the same day. Our venue, West 6th Nulu, is smack dab in the middle of this festival's footprint. It goes without saying, but this will make parking near the venue a challenge. If you're unfamiliar with the area, we recommend pulling up a map and using these notes on what streets will be closed and to what degree: Market street will be closed from Hancock to Campbell, though Hancock and Campbell will remain open. Clay and Shelby will be closed between Billy Goat Strut and Nanny Goat Strut allies. Billy Goat Strut alley will also be open to Local Access traffic. You *will* be able to access the Nulu Marketplace entrance that’s on Main Street (West 6th is within Nulu Marketplace). There is a parking lot for Nulu Marketplace but it will most definitely be full - however, if you're getting dropped off, this might be a somewhat simple place to do so.
Feel free to reach out directly to the bride or groom. Additionally, look inside your heart for the answer - it might already be there.
