FAQs

Question

The wedding is postponed! Do I need to RSVP on your website again?

Answer

Guests who had already "accepted" for the original ceremony are still on our list for next year. If you wish to cancel, or if the new dates do not work for you, please adjust your RSVP on the RSVP tab. Please note this is just an indicator to the wedding couple of your wishes to attend / decline the wedding - this is separate from changing your room reservation.

Question

How do I cancel my current room reservation (for the original 2020 ceremony)? How do I book for 2021?

Answer

Our travel agent has now sent out an official announcement to all guests explaining how to adjust or cancel current reservations. Please respond to her email her by April 30, 2020 with your decision to either postpone your dates to 2021 or to cancel altogether.

Question

What if I cannot make a decision by April 30 2021?

Answer

If you are booked for 2020 and you are unsure if you are able to join us for 2021, our best advice to you is to tell our travel agent you wish to move your reservation to 2021. This gives you more time to cancel at a later time but also saves your room availability in case you are able to make it. The penalty for cancelling at any point is the $50 initial deposit that was submitted with the initial sign-up form.

Question

When is my final deposit due?

Answer

Now that the wedding has been postponed, final deposits are due April 1 2021.

Question

So you want me to book with your travel agent, but what if I don't want to pay for a travel agent service?

Answer

One of the many perks of having our wedding at Royalton Riviera Cancun is that they provide us with a travel agent for our guests, complimentary to you. This is not an added fee for you, like with most other agencies. Therefore, we ask that all wedding guests book through our designated wedding travel agent Jessica, as she is nothing but a benefit to you! She provided our group with MAJOR discounts on room rates (Less than half the listed price!) and she will also be able to assist you with roundtrip airfare and transportation to the hotel.

Question

I have a question regarding the deposit form.

Answer

Please do not hesitate to contact our travel agent, Jessica with any questions at jessicav@luxedestinationweddings.com or 416.583.1996.

Question

Are my kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids - we really do. But we want this evening to be your night off from the little ones! Guests are welcome to bring their kids along for the vacation, but our ceremony and reception venues do not permit children.

Question

My name will change between now and the wedding. Is this a problem?

Answer

For any guests planning to change their name, (i.e. getting married between now and July 2020), be sure to list your name on the deposit form as your FUTURE legal name, as it will appear on your passport. The name you submit on the initial deposit form will be the name used to book all of your future travel flight/ hotel/ transportation plans. Any last minute name changes may be subjected to a name change fee.
