This is a unique natural park in San Diego. The trail is very popular for hiking and walking. It is an easy trail which combines the mountain and the beach perfectly together. So please be prepared with your camera, you don't want to miss the gorgeous coastline that winds all the way to the end of the world. Parking in the park is limited with additional fee, while nearby street parking is also a viable option with a short beach walk away if you get lucky :)
This is a very chill place that you can spend either a day or several hours. Located in downtown San Diego, the park has so much to offer! One famous scene in the Korean show The Heirs was shot at the center pond in the park. It also has several museums, theaters, and a culture center. One thing that is very attractive is the rose garden, which has 2,400 rose bushes in 180 varieties. We haven't had the chance to see the blossom yet. But we will definitely come back and visit this year in April and May and update with more information. Stay tuned >.<
The most famous wildlife zoo in California! You will get the chance to say hello to animals from all over the world: Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Australia. The Africa and Australia sections are our favorite! You can see Rhinos, Giraffes, Koala bears, elephants and so much more. They also offer tours that allow a closer look at the animals. The tours can be checked-out here: https://sdzsafaripark.org/safaris/wildlife-safari. A small secret: This is the top option for us when we start planning our wedding. :P
This place is a bit hard to find on the second floor but it surely has the best croissant I have ever had. The croissant looks the same as one in the cartoons with so many layers. The vibe of the bakery is super chill which makes it a good place to sit down and enjoy the food with the bright sunshine coming through the windows. But the parking is horrible, we got a ticket last time. You may need to drive around the block a few times to find a one :(
The famous taco from Tijuana, Mexico. You must try the beef tough fries. The place is little bit messy, but the fact that only the security guy speaks English makes it authentic. They also have one store located in downtown San Diego (close to Izola!) so you can punch two cards with one Di~Di~ :D
