A couple places we like near the wedding venue are Eavesdrop Brewery and Sedona Taphouse. Or check out River-Sea Chocolates Factory for a sweet treat! (We love their Cherry Blossom dark and salted caramel milk chocolates!) Closer to our home, our favorites are Palette 22, Port City Brewing Company, and Founding Farmers.
Bull Run Regional Park and Manassas National Battlefield Park have plenty of hiking trails to explore, some that come with a history lesson! The Washington and Old Dominion trail is also well-known in the area and can be picked up from many locations. Check out https://www.novaparks.com/node/1667 for a map.
A perfect spot to explore our city of Alexandria, grab a bite, shop, and enjoy the waterfront views.
If you're exploring our nation's capital while you're here, you can't go wrong with any of the Smithsonian museums (Air & Space museum especially!). With the right weather, it's always nice to stroll around Tidal Basin to see the monuments, check out the Wharf district, or wander through Eastern Market. And ask Thor or Lauren about a special memory at the Sculpture Garden!
A great farmers' market on Saturdays from 8am to noon (it's popular; we recommend going early!)
Retail and dining area - great for strolling on a nice day! It also has a farmers market on Sundays from 9am-2pm
