Abby and Landon met at a dinner celebration for his 16th birthday. Landon has always been on the quiet side. Believe it or not, they had never talked to each other despite going to the same small school for 7 years. Landon's dad had asked Landon's friend, Zach Bailey, to get some of his friends together to take Landon out for his birthday. Abby had been friends with Zach for years and immediately agreed to go and brought her friend, Jaime Sammons. They went to Applebees and back to Landon's house for the night. For the rest of that summer, Abby and Landon continued to hang out in groups. It wasn't long before Abby started to have a crush on Landon, and he was oblivious... so she told Zach, he spelled it out for Landon, and the rest is history.

Abby and Landon were in Cancun on a trip with 8 close friends. It was the second night of the trip and they were about to walk out of the hotel room to meet the rest of the group for dinner... when Landon grabbed Abby's arm and told her he had a question. While walking her out to their room's balcony, he got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. Abby was in shock and smiling while he kept looking at her. Finally she said, "well are you going to ask me that question??" He asked it, and she said YES!! Landon had secretly given a room key to the rest of the group earlier in the day without her realizing it and they all came running in to celebrate!
