Travel to Salem

Salem, MA is 15 miles north of Boston and 10 miles south of the wedding venue. It is accessible from Boston’s Logan airport (14 miles away) by the Boston area “T” service and commuter rail; by bus; and by Uber/Lyft. Those flying in to Logan can get to Salem, to the wedding by shuttle, and into Boston without renting a car. For those driving to Salem, the city is easily accessible off of Routes 128/95 and Route 1.

We have arranged for a block of rooms in the Hawthorne Hotel, where we are also holding the Welcome Event. Please see more on this below. You are also welcome to book at another hotel in or near Salem or an Airbnb or Bed and Breakfast. Most accommodation in Salem itself will be walkable or a very short Lyft or Uber ride to the Hawthorne.

The wedding block bookings at the Hawthorne are provided at a discount. You need to book these rooms by phone (you cannot do this through their website). When calling to book, please reference the Grimshaw Thomas wedding block. A room with a double bed is $149/night, a king or queen bed is $169/night and two queens is $189/night.

Shuttle

Shuttle

November 17, 2019 3:00 pm - 9:30 pm

There will be a shuttle service provided between the Hawthorne Hotel in Salem and the wedding venue. The shuttles will leave the Hawthorne at 3pm and there will be shuttles back to the hotel at 8:30pm and at at the end of the reception at 9:30pm. Guests who taking the shuttle but are not booked at the Hawthorne should reach out to us to let us know.
