I remember the day my mom came home from the doctor to tell us if our newest sibling was going to be a boy or a girl. When she told us we were going to have a little sister, I celebrated while my brothers cried. A sister was all that six year old me had hoped and prayed for. Mary Kate has been everything I ever imagined and more. Anyone who meets my little sister cannot help but love her. She is initially shy but is unafraid to tease anyone, stranger or not. She thinks that I can do no wrong and is therefore my biggest cheerleader. She has been there for me at every twist and turn that my life has taken. Through every move and new school she has gone beyond her obligation as my sister to be my best friend. She makes me laugh in each and every conversation and I am forever grateful for her. It is one of the great honors of my life to call her my sister. Thomas and I decided that we would each have just one person at our sides for our big day. Best Man
After asking Grace to marry me, I have been impatiently waiting for when she would stand in front of me, our families, and God at our wedding. Deciding who would stand behind me was a no-brainer. My father, Chris Hudson, has been my role model my entire life. Anyone who has ever met my dad understands his character. Chris has been an example of calm, cool, and collected in all areas of life. He has shown me an example of a loving father and a caring husband that I hope to live up to. Chris puts his needs behind others without hesitation, and consistently shows up for those around him. The older I get, the more proud I am to see my dad's example of Christ's love for us, and the way he has encouraged me. Grace and I wanted someone behind us on this special day who could attest to our character, love, and faith. I could not imagine anyone else to be that person than my dad. I am honored to be his son, and for him to be my Best Man. -Thomas
