Thomas and Sandra first met in March of 2017 through a mutual friend while studying at the University of Florida, and an instant spark was ignited. Soon after, they became inseparable. The couple fondly recalls the excitement of feeling their phones buzz with those coveted daily Snapchats and text messages. The adventures they shared ranged from sorority date functions in the middle of the woods, to floating down the river at Ginny Springs, to admiring sunsets atop Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. As precious as these moments were, they treasured the afternoon strolls around campus and the late-night scooter rides to Pizza by the Slice just the same. It soon became clear to both of them that they shared a special connection. As fate would have it, both decided to stay in Gainesville after their scheduled graduation date, and in the fall of 2018, they made their relationship official. In the years that followed, Thomas and Sandra's bond grew stronger as they faced life's ups and downs hand in hand. As they shared in the joys of each other's triumphs and supported each other through loss and heartbreak, their puppy love matured into a deep and irreplaceable bond. In July of 2020, Thomas and Sandra bought their first home in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Adventure, achievement, and struggle continued to follow, but the love and commitment they shared never faltered. They made a promise to fill their days with more joy than hardship, and between their weekly date nights, exciting vacations, and precious family gatherings, they have proudly remained true to that promise. Almost two years later, on his 26th birthday, Thomas got down on one knee at Pass-a-Grille beach, just a few miles from their home, where they look forward to returning over the coming years and reliving that cherished day. Sandra is a pediatric cardiovascular ICU nurse and ECMO specialist at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Thomas is an equity research associate at Raymond James Financial in addition to owning and operating a digital commerce business.
