It's not paved at the camp where we are getting married, so we recommend that you wear shoes you can walk in the grass with.
There will be no alcohol permitted as the site is a dry site which Hope Mission often uses for Rehab purposes. Similarly drugs are prohibited. Smoking is permitted at designated locations.
We do not require anyone to bring a gift to attend our wedding and we are happy to have you celebrate with us. However, we will have a registry that you can check back on closer to the date and cash gifts are welcome also.
Brightwood Ranch is a very large property with lots of space for walking and exploring. There are lots of paths to enjoy, a petting zoo (watch those dancing shoes though), and a pallet maze that Thomas spent weeks working on last year. There are also some nice shaded decks and chairs for lounging. We will also have some lawn games set up for people to mingle with one another.
We do ask that people dress semi-formal. Men: somewhere in the range of suits or button-down shirts with slacks. No jeans, t-shirts, or shorts. Women: (I've actually never seen a woman inappropriately dressed for a wedding) pants or rompers are no problem.
The ceremony will start at 3:00pm. We would encourage you to come 30-15 minutes early because it is a long drive and who knows what could slow you down on a highway. It also will give everyone enough time to find the place without delaying the ceremony.
We understand that Sundays are not the most convenient days as most people start the work week immediately after. We are aiming to be finished around 10pm which should allow for people to hit the road in good time. Of course, we understand if you need to slip away before that.
