Dear Friends and Family, The time has come for us to make a decision about how to carry through with our wedding plans given the ongoing pandemic. We have thought long and hard about what to do regarding our wedding ceremony and reception in this time of doubt and sickness. It is with great disappointment that we have decided to postpone our celebration with the larger community. We are sad to not be sharing this step into our new lives with all of you, but it is a step we will be taking nonetheless, just in a much different setting. Though our wedding may not be witnessed by our community, we cannot wait until we we can have a larger celebration like the one we were planning and celebrate with all of you. We met each other near the beginning of our college experience, yet we didn't get to know each other until a few years later. Summer had arrived in Bellingham and most college students and young adults had left to go home. The few of us that stayed decided to go out to lunch after church one day. Since there were only three of us, I was inspired to ask a series of random questions, the last of which was an invitation to join a superhero role-playing game. To my surprise, and to Chloe's, she said yes. After that it was only a short time until we realized that we really enjoyed spending time together and that maybe we could try out being more intentional about the time we did spend together. It only took a few weeks for us to confess that we were romantically inclined and we have since continued our journey to become closer to each other, even in the moments that we've been separated by distance. This journey continues every day, but now we are thrilled to begin that process again as husband and wife!
