We are planning an outdoor ceremony. The venue has space to do an indoor ceremony, and will try their best to accomodate in inclement weather.

Question

What's the difference between St. Paul and Minneapolis?

Answer

St. Paul is older, and the state's capital. Originally called Pig's Eye Landing, it was a hub for railroads in the 1920's. St. Paul has many old, victorian style homes, and is known as the "old money" city. Minneapolis is the newer, more vibrant younger sibling of St. Paul. It has the better night life, the sports stadiums, etc. Minneapolis has a population of about 425k, while St. Paul is at 307K. The greater twin cities metro area totals 3.69 million.

Question

I want to explore the Twin Cities! Where should I go?

Answer

-Northeast Minneapolis is known for it's arts scene, there's lots of galleries to wander around in. -Uptown Minneapolis is the trendy part of town known for it's many restaurants. We even have an "eat street" due to the dense collection of restaurants on Nicollet Aveune. -The chain of lakes is exactly what it sounds like. Lake of the Isles, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake Harriet are all connected by channels, and explorable via, bike, kayak, even streetcar! -The Summit Hill area is known for it's grand architecture. The longest stretch of Victorian style homes in the US, there are tours available for the James J Hill House, as well as a walking tour of all the homes F. Scott Fitzgerald (author of the Great Gatsby) has lived in! Governor Walz also lives on Summit Ave in the Governor's Mansion. If you happen to be nearby, give him a cheer from us!
