Ryan and Samantha started their journey where every love story should: a Penn State frat house. But before any romance, and well before becoming a couple, Ryan and Samantha were just two kids wandering around the adult theme park that is PSU. Though not much more than acquaintances, they ran in the same social circles and it seemed their paths couldn’t help but keep crossing. Whether it was a Zeta Psi / Delta Gamma social or a tailgate at Beaver Stadium, Ryan and Samantha continued to have these one-off interactions that kept them connected over their 4 years of school. However, it wasn’t until well after graduating when these two first realized there was something more. Jumping ahead into their post-grad era - Samantha would visit her close friend, Madison, who lived in Manhattan. Madison’s boyfriend at the time just happened to be Ryan’s roommate. It was during this time when they quickly moved from acquaintances to friends. Samantha enjoyed any time she could get with the funny, kind, and handsome "Zapo”; meanwhile, Zapo was hooked on Samantha’s fun-first attitude and down to earth personality. Things were trending up, but it was still early and these two lovebirds weren’t meant for the concrete jungle. Fast forward yet again, and Ryan found his way from NYC back home to Philadelphia! Once distance was removed from the equation, the rest was easy. Samantha took a leap of faith and asked him to meet her for a drink at Morgan's Pier. Countless hiking trips, concerts, Philadelphia sporting events, and sweet-treat indulgences later he finally popped the question during a gorgeous sunset in Shenandoah National Park. Ryan and Samantha are so grateful to have found each other in this crazy world and cannot wait to celebrate their commitment to each other. As Rihanna once said "We found love in a hopeless place."
