February 22nd, 2014 • We First Met March 31st, 2014 • Our First Kiss June 3rd, 2014 • "I love you" September 2nd, 2018 • We Got Engaged July 14th, 2019 • "I do!"

Brett and I were introduced by mutual friends in high school. Around prom season my junior year, I was looking for a date and my good friend from another school suggested his name. She was pretty excited about it and hyped it up because she insisted we were going to get married. Though I knew she wasn't serious (plus we were very young), I went into it with high expectations once she told me a little about him. My friend set it up for the two of us to meet on a double date, and despite the fact that Brett bowled a 61 that night (still laughable), I had a good feeling about him. I actually remember telling another friend later on that I wanted to be with him because even though it was far off, "he's the type of guy you want to marry." It's crazy looking back how spot on I was! We've dated long distance since that spring, and we are looking forward to saying goodbye to distance in a few short months. Brett is my very best friend, my encourager, my confidant. Growing up with him these past few years has been fun and I'm so overjoyed that I get to do life with him forever--something I've been praying for since I met him.
