Katelyn & Dustin’s love story has been years in the making. Seeing that the two of them essentially grew up together, their story is one that has withstood the test of time for the destined happily ever after. They first met when Katelyn and Alyssa (Dustin's sister) started cheering together back in elementary school. Katelyn caught Dustin's eye from the start, but little did they know (well… Dustin may have known or hoped for that matter) that all those small conversations, times hanging out, and passing interactions would eventually lead to something greater down the road.

After high school, the two of them went in different directions, and life took them both traveling to new locations around the country and even around the world. It wasn’t until the summer of 2021 that their paths crossed again when Dustin was in town and came to Katelyn’s birthday party on a whim. Sparks went flying as they both realized they had feelings for each other! But of course, timing is everything and at this point Katelyn wasn’t ready to jump into dating someone juuuust yet. The two of them kept talking, and by the end of the year Katelyn was ready, but then, as life would have it, this time Dustin wasn't. So they pushed forward, always staying in touch, but giving each other the time and space they needed.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2022, Katelyn and Dustin went on their first official date while Dustin was in Colorado for his birthday. The sparks were brighter than ever, and finally the timing was just right! The only problem was… Katelyn lived in Colorado and Dustin in North Carolina. But a little distance couldn’t stop the two of them, so they persevered and by the end of March of 2022, they were officially together!

Now the two of them were ready to spend all the time they could together, but they were still in different states. So in July of 2022, the two decided to move in together! Katelyn made the move to North Carolina, both not wanting to do long distance anymore, and it turned out to be the best decision! With both the timing and the place being just right, the two couldn't be happier.

On Christmas Eve, Dustin surprised Katelyn and proposed to her on her mama's front porch receiving a resounding YES!!! The two decided to not wait any longer and signed the official documents to be married on New Years Eve and just like that they started their next adventure together! Now they are ready to share their vows and celebrate their one year anniversary with everyone this upcoming New Years Eve!
