It was Superbowl XLI and of course 200 Park Ave. was hosting a party. Ironically, Dan's good friend, Kenny (groomsman) was dating Jack-O (bridesmaid) and they decided to drag Jack with them to the party as a third wheel. Clearly Jack fell head over heels for Dan... okay maybe not head over heels because they didn't talk after that party for about 3 months. It was at that point that their good friends Kenny and Jack-O were persistent and invited them out in Morristown. I guess you can say they hit off because it was just the following weekend that they decided to have their first solo date... a hike in the Hudson Valley! And to follow? A toast to an awesome day with a drink at Peekskill Brewery. It's hard to think of a weekend after that where they weren't hanging out on a mountaintop somewhere. Things haven't changed... well, except for the fact that they've added a 4-legged fella to join them on their adventures! Have you met Ralphie?
June 8th, 2019: Not a cloud in the sky. What does that mean? It's a beautiful day for a hike up Anthony's Nose...and a proposal! Dan prepared ahead of time and made sure two of our best friends, Jack-O and Kenny (the ones who introduced us), were down for a sweaty couple of hours. Sweat from the anxiety of proposing? Nope, sweat because it was a HOT one! Once reaching the top of Anthony's Nose, we found a few rocks to relax on. Dan grabs his binoculars and yells "Jack, whoa! You gotta check this out. There's a cool lookin' bird flying over the Hudson!" With that, Jack takes the binoculars and searches for the bird. Eh, no bird...but better...she turns around and finds Dan on one knee. Success! After this, we felt the best way to celebrate would be a few "cheers!" at Peekskill Brewery. Little did Jack know, there'd be a crew of some of their closest friends and family waiting to celebrate. Beers, cheers and tears! It was a good day.
