Elopement. Gender Reveal. Baby Shower.

Yes, the shame that I am not at all shameful for. We met off of a dating website called Tinder. That was the initial "There's the girl I want to get to know". Next, we move over to Snapchat. This was his way of introducing himself to me, or should I say he decided to shoot his shot. Let's just say, I played a hard game of catch. I was not going to let this military guy catch me. They are full of games, or at least that's the rep they all get. Well, I ignored him. I dry texted him for a week or two and then one day I, or let's say my best friend, gave me the courage to actually want to get to know him. So, that's what I did. I met him downtown with a group of friends, my best friend invited him because I was too afraid to, and there was a vibe. I am not sure if it was the alcohol or the fact that I felt like I wanted to talk to him for hours that made me text him more consistently. Literally less than a week of us meeting, I was getting on a cruise with my family. This usually means no Wifi or reception, but I found a way to talk to him. I had to. This was in August, where he wanted to be my friend. By October, I demanded to be his girl and somehow he asked me out. The rest are details you will have to learn over the course of this love story.

The night started off great. We were going on a date. He picked me up in his car. Now, we are heading to Red Lobster, which was the first place we went out to dinner. Side note, has anyone ever seen a red lobster in the tank? NO, okay me either. Anyways, first stop: Red Lobster. Issue: 20-30 minute wait. Nope. Second stop, another Red Lobster. Issue: 1. the restaurant was dirty, 2. the table next to us was waiting an hour for their food. Nope. Third and final stop: Longhorn Steakhouse. Issue: there was a wait here, but we were both just hungry and tired at this point. Okay setting, Longhorn Steak House. Mood: two hungry people full of hunger and exhaustion. Purpose: for Drae to surprise me with a proposal. Well, by this time I do not suspect anything, so I am the normal me. Apparently, normal me is a bit of a mean girl when she's hungry. She is also sensitive after making a joke. I though he was seriously mad, but it turns out I was the only one upset. I still do not expect a proposal at this point still unaware. Next thing you know, we are silent at the table. Great job Cici. Moral of the story: always be nice. As a proposal, while I was on my lunch break he pops up at work to leave the ring on my desk. He then texts me enjoy the ring. Totally not a proposal. It was a slap in the face. I wore it of course, but demanded a do over because he did it out of anger for the failed first attempt. The next proposal was randomly in my living room while we were eating. Yes, I am this simple. Also, yes, this one was more meaningful. He got down on one knee and grabbed my hand. He took my down memory lane and the words he said touched my heart. They were from the heart and my heart melted because of it. I am to be Mrs. Washington. I am Mrs. Washington to be!

noun. an act or instance of running off secretly, as to be married. I already told everyone who needed to know and so did he. Yes everyone knows we are getting married. To keep the elopement alive, nobody will know when...until the knot is tied and the I do's are said. This is not to disrespect family or friends. This is just a way for us to have our own intimate ceremony in which we can just be in love with one another. Don't worry. We still have the ultimate way to bring the family and friends together. So, of course we are planning a gender reveal. My first ultrasound will be on April 30, 2019. I will be 10 weeks. As soon as the doctor can reveal the gender, my best friend, will start sending out invites and planning for the gender reveal. The date will be announced as soon as it is set. The above date is the projected date. It will be confirmed in June. We will be accepting funds as well as all gender neutral gifts at the gender reveal. We are also huge fans of monogram works of art, so feel free to get creative with Baby Washington's gifts. Also feel free to message me if you want to attend the gender reveal.

We plan on having the baby shower August 10, 2019. This date may be changed, but it will be in advance. Stay tuned for all things Baby Washington here on this website.
