We’re getting married!

We met at Miami University’s most iconic bar, Brick Street. It was our last semester of college and we both thought it was just going to be a fun end of college fling as Nick was moving to Chicago and I was staying in Cincy. I (Katie) of course made the first move and told our mutual friend he was cute and to give him my number. We quickly started to spend just about every waking moment together. After graduation we would see each other for holidays and catch up every once in a while. But then COVID hit and Nick came back home from Chicago to escape his small apartment. It was like we picked up right where we left off the last day of school and we’ve been inseparable ever since!

If you know Nick and I, you know we love a good all inclusive Mexico trip! Well, this past July while on one of our trips with some good friends I was convinced it wasn’t happening. Nick was way too relaxed and one of my good friends had me believing she had no idea and would at least hint to me if she did. That same day (while Nick was nervously practicing getting down on one knee in the hotel bathroom) I was peacefully taking my pre-dinner nap. That night, our friends came to meet us in our room carrying a bottle of champagne (me still totally clueless) and we went on our way down to the beach in our ALL WHITE (like… come on Katie). While taking pictures, Nick pops the most beautiful ring out of his pocket and drops (flawlessly) down on one knee. Tears were shed from both of us and now here we are, GETTING MARRIED! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Cincy!
