Adam and Bailey met on an online dating app called Bumble. Adam wasted no time asking Bailey on a date after they matched. Their first date was at Vintage Wine Bar where they ordered orange wine - a first for Bailey! It turned into a conversation about mixology, which Adam enjoys. They connected over the fact that Bailey was familiar Fernet, a type of amaro they drink in Argentina. The conversation then turned to travel, then food, and next thing they knew four hours had gone by. The rest was "history"!
Adam and Bailey took an East Coast road trip to attend Bailey's cousin's wedding that started in Asheville and ended in NYC. On the way, they stopped in Shenandoah National Park to climb Old Rag Mountain for a great view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. As they climbed towards the peak, a storm blew in and the rain started. When they got to the top, it was so foggy, they couldn't see a thing! Adam set up his phone so they could take a video even though it wasn't much of a view. When Bailey turned around, Adam was down on one knew and said "The view isn't clear, but my love for you is" and popped the question. The diamond was still in a temporary setting and prone to falling out, so Bailey only got to have it on for a moment before Adam swapped it with a silicone stand-in. Thankfully, the diamond didn't fall down any crevices and was put into it's permanent setting when they arrived back in Tulsa. That evening, they stayed in a lovely Airbnb on a farm. The next morning, the owner showed them around and introduced them to his dogs, chickens, horses and donkey. It was a great way to start their first day as fiancés!
