Jordan and I met at work in June of 2017 & went on our first date in October. It wasn’t long after that I asked Jo to be my girlfriend. The funny thing was I already thought she was my girlfriend but she let me know real quick that I had to actually ask her before I got that privilege. Time started flying by. We had weekly date nights, called each other every day (even though we would see each other that night), met each other’s parents, wrote hundreds of notes to each other, went on numerous hikes, and tried new foods. We compliment each other very well, her Type-A personality to my chill attitude is just what the doctor ordered. Example: when I would pack to go somewhere I would throw a few things in a Walmart sack and call it good. Now when I pack I have a checklist 2 pages long that comes from you know who. Flip the coin, if Jo ever got a B on a grad-school assignment she felt as if the world was going to end. Now if she gets a B on an assignment, I help put things into perspective and she doesn’t beat herself up over it. We don’t try to change each other, we just adjust naturally for the sake of having the best relationship possible and loving each other better. I can't wait to grow with her as husband & wife.
Taylor & I headed to the lake for Memorial Day weekend & Taylor’s 26th Birthday. When we arrived at the cabin, I decided to lay on a hammock outside to enjoy the beautiful 80° weather and breathtaking views. Taylor disappeared inside and returned with a book titled "My Reasons Why." He joined me in the hammock and began to read the sweetest book that highlighted our favorite memories and all the reasons why he wanted to marry me. Some of those reasons were my generosity, determination, and beautiful blue eyes (SO SWEET!). I started to cry and squirm with excitement. He got down on one knee and said those words I’d been dreaming about for months: “Jordan Nicole Murray, will you marry me?” I squealed "YES!" and we spent the rest of the day calling our closest friends and family to share the good news. With every phone call, the reality sunk in: I'm marrying the most incredible man in the world. The next day, Taylor took me out to lunch at Local Flavor in Eureka Springs and surprised me with an engagement party with both of our families. I was blown away by his thoughtfulness and the love and support of our families.
