Obviously Sam had to recommend a stop at the happiest place on earth. If you’ve got some flexibility in your trip, head down to Anaheim for a day….or 2 to enjoy the magic of Walt’s original park.
If you’re looking for a fun theme park experience at a working movie studio, Universal is a great one day trip. The Studio Tour, Harry Potter & the Forbidden Journey, Jurassic World & Waterworld are our top picks when visiting.
Located in Griffith Park the observatory is a great place to see all of Los Angeles, get a view of the Hollywood Sign and explore the cosmos all in one place. Admission is free, check their website for hours. Parking can be a bit rough, go early if you want to get into the paid lot up top, otherwise parking on the road winding up to the top is free but a bit of a trek.
One of our favorite spots in LA. We’ve tried everything on Sonoratown’s menu and nothing disappoints. For first timers we recommend the Burrito 2.0 and a Caramelo.
A must stop in LA, if you love hot chicken. Our friends started this pop up in a West Hollywood parking lot. Quickly becoming a beloved Friday night hot spot they’ve exploded across the food scene in California and beyond. We’re team Medium heat, but try the Carolina Reaper if you’re feeling brave. Multiple locations throughout Los Angeles.
