Our Story

High school is where it all started! Megan and Christian met and became friends in high school. They were in the same friend group, spending weekends getting up to no good in town (parties in the woods, anyone?) and hanging out during free periods at school. Megan and Christian stayed friends throughout high school and college, where they were attending schools on opposite ends of the country. Throughout college, the two stayed close, and when Megan graduated Penn State she decided to take a leap of faith and fly out to Colorado to visit Christian! After a week spent together adventuring in the mountains they both knew that their relationship meant more than just friendship, and Christian asked Megan to be his girlfriend. From beginning their relationship long distance from NYC - CO, then living together in the beautiful state of Utah, to another two years of long distance between UT - WA, the two have settled (for now!) in Washington State with their two cats, David & Alexis, where they spend weekends adventuring in the mountains together!

Our Engagement

After dating for almost 6 years, Christian (finally) popped the question!! Megan & Christian were up in Vermont with family over the holidays. It was New Years Day, and Christian asked Megan if she wanted to go for a hike up to Equinox Pond, one of their favorite spots near Megan's parent's VT house. It was dreary out, and Megan was hesitant. She had been hoping for the proposal all week, and had already decided it wasn't going to happen. After some convincing, Megan said yes (although didn't bother to put on makeup or try to look cute, sigh) and they took off on their hike. Once they got to the pond, Megan noticed a piece of wood lying on the ground that looked perfect for Christian to make a cutting board out of (one of his many hobbies). She pointed it out to Christian and he told her to go check it out and see. So Megan walked over and picked it up, examining it. She started turning around to tell Christian it looked like a great slab of wood and when she turned around, Christian was down on one knee. Confused, she turned the wood around and in it was carved "Marry Me?" with a heart with their initials inside. Christian asked Megan to be his wife, and we all know of course Megan said YES! The weather may have been crappy, but it was a perfect day filled with so much happiness at one of the most special places!
