How We Met

Found love in Uni

Adeyemi was visiting a friend in my hostel who introduced me to him as her roommate. Our connection began with a simple hello, but destiny decided we would meet again. From that day, our friendship grew and we were always there for each other. Being around each other was fun, and sweet! And then one day, boom...! Adeyemi asked me out, and later said he wanted something more purposeful than friendship. It was truly a mutual desire -we were in love with each other! We've made it through to this point by prayers and love. Here we are now, looking forward to starting our Forever Journey together! #TheRoyalAbiAde. Enquiries: info@theroyalabiade.com

Proposal Story

A moment to remember!

The proposal happened in 2019, when Adeyemi visited Nigeria. I was already overwhelmed about his arrival and was eager to see him, just like any two people who care about each other would be. But he had something planned up! I saw him in Lagos and that was when he told me he would like us to attend an event later in the evening and that if I did not mind, he had a lovely dress he would like me to try on. Adeyemi had prepared my complete outfit for the ‘occasion’; I didn’t hesitate as I liked the dress and accessories, so I got dressed and we set out. We arrived at the venue and two of Adeyemi’s friends came out to receive us, one went in with him while the other (a lady) somehow managed to ‘delay’ me outside. After a couple of minutes, I went in with her to a beautiful lounge with lights dimmed, but everywhere was well decorated with a saxophonist playing a love song. In a few seconds, as soon as the lights were brighter, I saw some of our friends, and I could also see Adeyemi standing with heart-warming smiles on his face. As I moved towards him, gave him a hug, he bent his left knee, opened a red ring box and said that he wanted us to do life together forever. I knew the only answer was a ‘Yes!’ – what a time to remember!
