We're getting married!

When we first met: We met each other on a Black Friday shopping trip, while we were both home from college for Thanksgiving. We went to different schools, but were from the same hometown area and had mutual friends. ISU -> UIC: Our relationship was long distance for years! There were countless weekends of traveling back and forth from Bloomington to Chicago. This tested our relationship - there were ups and downs, but we came out even stronger for it. Our first apartment: Finally, after college, we both ended up finding jobs in Gurnee, IL. It just made sense to move in together. This was a major step for our relationship. I think this is when we really KNEW. We knew we were going to spend the rest of our lives together.

Scott & I had just returned home from spending Thanksgiving weekend with family. He proposed right on our apartment living room floor. Our first apartment - the place where we both knew that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. We were officially engaged! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in the city!
