As the story goes, Therese and Nolan, despite living just on opposite sides of the Tunnel, met in the Bahamas. Although technically it was over international waters, when Therese had some difficulties filling out her Customs Form. Nolan, who wasn’t a world traveler by any measure himself, and relied heavily on his parents for that type of stuff, jumped at the opportunity when Therese poked her head between the seats for assistance. Not sure they ever figured it out, but the two would never forget the interaction. As luck would have it, the first night of the senior trip was “Stop Light Night.” Green for single. Red for taken. Yellow if you just didn’t know or were playing hard to get. And Nolan was 17, so he was on the lookout for an 18-year-old in green to sneak him some Miami Vices! “Hey, any chance you could buy me a drink” was a lot easier than butchering some pick up line. Nevertheless, Therese, in her green shirt, couldn’t take her eyes off that kid in the faded Kevin Garnett Celtics Jersey with pipe cleaners for arms. (All his friends know how much of a basketball fan Nolan is!!) It was that genius from the plane! Thank God for those Customs Forms - the rest is history! From the Bahamas to Fenway Park, Malden Catholic Prom, Therese’s first Parade Day, teaching Nolan how to drive and introducing him to the South Shore, it was a busy summer to say the least! Since that night, the two have chased each other around the globe. Weekend stays in Amherst. Winter trips to visit Therese on St. John. Summers on the Vineyard. Camping with crocodiles on the beaches of Australia. Triglia trips to Aruba. Cooking on campfires in New Hampshire and quarantining through COVID up and down the Coast of Maine – where they’ve decided to share the next stage of their journey with you all! Welcome to Kennebunkport, Maine! We can’t wait to celebrate and mark this next chapter of our travels together with YOU – the people we love the most! See you soon!
