Bring the kids to this park located on church premises. On a nice day, you’ll find a bustling playground with many happy littles. Its convenient location is near restaurants, shops, and historical sites.
This boutique garden center features an arcade, mini adventure park, and cafe lobby. Spend time admiring some of the animals on the premises such as their alpacas, pheasants, chickens, goats, and pigs.
Pick a ceramic item and paint freely! This spot is great for beginners and experienced artists alike. Set aside at least an hour if you plan to go — it’s easy to lose track of time when you’re wrist deep in pottery glazing.
Not your run-of-the-mill barcade. If you decide to take a swing at axe throwing, be prepared for a challenge. The drinks are pretty good too.
Take a ferry ride from the Beaufort pier over to Shackleford, home to a rare herd of wild horses. On your way there, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins — they are known to make an appearance to say “hi” to passerby.
