We're so excited to celebrate with you!

McKenna was interning with the Iowa State University Police Department. Ted was working as a Community Service Officer (CSO) with Iowa State University Police Department. When McKenna was riding along with an officer, we stopped to speak with a couple CSO's. McKenna knew one of the CSO's already. Ted had shined a light in McKenna's face and thought it was hilarious. Ted and McKenna only exchanged a few words to each other that day. About a week later, McKenna went to Trivia Friday with some friends, it so happened that Ted also went to Trivia Friday with his friends. McKenna stepped away during a break to watch a baseball game on TV. Ted came over and introduced himself (again since McKenna didn't remember). McKenna made a bold decision and decided to join him and his friends for drinks. A few weeks after that night Ted and McKenna went on our first date. Since then we've continued to grow together and enjoy life with one another.

Ted and McKenna had just got done looking at a house and went back to the apartment. They had dinner together and were looking at a few other houses. McKenna asked Ted what would happen if they found a house that they liked before they got engaged, since Ted wanted to be engaged before they bought a house. Ted said he wasn't to worried about it and McKenna didn't think much of it. Ted asked if McKenna would want to go to the High Trestle Trail Bridge since McKenna had always wanted to go. Ted and McKenna grabbed their dog, Bailey, and went to the bridge. After they got there, they were walking down the trail, watching the sunset. Ted and McKenna stopped walking to look at the view. McKenna was leaning on the railing looking around. Ted said that he thought he had a rock in his shoe and bent down to fix it. Ted then said McKenna's name and when she turned around Ted was there down on one knee and asked McKenna to marry him. McKenna excitedly said yes.
