Where is the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is at Veritas Vineyards in Afton, VA. Afton is about 30 minutes away from Charlottesville, VA. The address is 151 Veritas Ln, Afton, VA 22920

How can I get to the wedding?

Answer

We will provide bus transportation -- with pickup from the Omni Hotel Charlottesville. Buses will arrive for loading at 4:15pm and leave at 4:30pm sharp. You can meet the bus on the corner of Water Street and Ridge McIntire Road, which is a 2 minute walk from the hotel. Both buses will return to this location at the end of the night, leaving Veritas around 11:45pm. There is also parking at Veritas Vineyard and ubers are available in the area.

What time should I arrive at the venue? When does the ceremony start?

Answer

Please arrive no earlier than 5pm, as the venue will not open before then. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm.

Will the wedding festivities be inside or outside?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside (weather permitting), the reception will be inside. Weather in Virginia in October fluctuates, but you can expect 65 degrees during the day and 50 degrees at night.

Are kids welcome?

While we love kids, we have decided to have a child-free (10 years old and younger) ceremony and reception.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space, we cannot accommodate additional guests. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding.

What should I wear?

Answer

We’d love to see our family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Dress code is formal attire. Ladies can wear floor-length or midi formal dresses -- no cocktail length dresses please! Gentlemen can wear a suit and tie.

How will I get home?

Answer

There will be buses that transport people back to the hotels. You may also leave your car in the parking lot overnight, but need to pick it up by 10 am the next morning. Ubers may be difficult to find late at night.
