Kyle: Courtney and I grew up less than 20 minutes from each other’s driveway. We went to rival high schools 1 grade apart, and have mutual friends, and interests, so you would think that’s how we met. However, neither of us even knew the other existed until 23 years later. Are you ready for it? I posted a photo after shooting my first banded duck that had been reposted enough times to where this girl, Courtney Meier, noticed it and she must have liked what she saw because she followed me on social media. It was only the most beautiful girl I’d ever seen. Blonde, outdoorsy, & athletic. After stalking her entire profile, I collected myself and went about my day. Well then, she messaged me, at which point I realized this was no longer a drill. We engaged in a few light conversations until it got to a point where I couldn’t not ask this girl out any longer… So I did.. and she said yes… good start for the home team. The first date went amazing… or at least that’s what I thought until... I’m kidding, we’re getting married, it went well. I was blown away. I remember exactly what she wore, she has no clue what I wore… we won’t get into all that. Moving on. After laughing, talking, and truly getting to know one another we became best friends and teammates. I fell in love with her heart for the Lord, her character, sense of humor, and everything else in-between. We dated with marriage in mind, and not too long after we realized this was who God had planned for each of us. So as one usually does in this scenario, I put a ring on it. Courtney: When I think about me and Kyle's relationship, I can see the work of God throughout it all. Kyle is the most selfless, patient, loving, and funniest (hard to admit) person I have ever met. He loves me well, and he loves the Lord more. I feel like the luckiest person knowing I get to spend the rest of my life along side him.
