We're getting married!

It all started on October 14, 2016, the night before their best friends Peter and Elise O'Toole's wedding. They hung out at the rehearsal dinner in Peggy and Paul's backyard, talking about Meg's life in LA and making bad jokes about 1st dates at Hockeytown in Saugus. Chris had never been on a hike before at this time, nor understood what a hike even entailed, so listening to stories of Malibu and Big Sur was truly enchanting. The next night at the wedding at The Corinthian in Marblehead, sparks flew. Meg's mother Shauna claims Chris told her that night that he was "taken aback by her daughter," but Chris to this day does not admit to using those exact words. Meg and Chris danced and laughed all night, and they both knew in the bottom of their hearts they couldn't let this be just one fleeting magical evening.

So a month later, on a whim, Chris flew out to California to visit Meg. The Patriots were playing at San Francisco that weekend, so it was a great excuse to go out and visit, and then road trip up to SF from LA to go to the game with a big group of friends. Meg and Chris call that long weekend in California their first date <3. They enjoyed a great night at their favorite bar Shellbacks in Manhattan Beach, hiked through the rain up the coast in Big Sur with one of Chris' best friends Alex Kremer and his wife Hope, and completed the last leg of their journey on Sunday by leaving Monterey at 5am to get up to San Fran in time for the Pats. Chris' friend Jeff Begin was a legend on Sunday between the epic hospitality he offered at his place in SF and his hilarious tailgate antics involving a sweet wig and a megaphone. About 7 months later, Meg decided to move back home, and the rest is history. They can't wait to celebrate with everyone at the wedding and continue to write their epic love story.
