For our wedding, we're aiming for a black-tie optional dress code. Ladies, elegant evening gowns or sophisticated cocktail dresses would be perfect. Gentlemen, tuxedos or dark suits with ties are appropriate. No jeans, please! To maintain the elegant and cohesive look we envision for our wedding, we kindly ask that you avoid wearing bright, bold colors. Subtle, muted tones and classic shades would be much appreciated. We also kindly ask that you avoid colors traditionally reserved for the bride—whites, ivories, and creams.
