David and Jessica met at CrossFit Pacific Beach on a cold day in January of 2020. David would stay past his 5pm class to work on "accessory work" and Jessica would show up for the 7pm class after a long day of work. They eventually went to trivia together with a group of friends from the gym. Jessica loved David's punk earrings and David loved that not knowing a single trivia answer was something they both had in common. David finally asked Jessica out on February 13, 2020 to a gay bar in Hillcrest. The night was a huge success, and David and Jessica became inseparable. When COVID hit, they spent even more time together and their relationship grew quickly. David was there for Jessica for her last minutes with Joe, during her final year of her master's degree and CPA exams, and through her journey to partnership with her current firm. Jessica has been by David's side traveling the world, from Mexico to Vietnam, during his career shift in engineering from defense to biotech, and meeting the newest members of his family (shoutout to Jayden!). The memories they've made and the love they have shared is just the beginning of one great adventure together.
