Why is there such a large time gap between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, the church we are getting married at has another wedding that day. When making the ceremony arrangements, the church stated that there was already a wedding that day and that they usually only do one wedding a weekend. We were in luck because Divine Word called back and said they could also marry us it would just have to be an early wedding. This was the church that Laura was baptized at and it was special to her that she also is married there.

Why are the hotel blocks located in Solon?

Answer

Due to our ceremony and reception being a 45 minute drive apart, we wanted a neutral location for our out of town guest. Which Solon happened to be right in the middle of both! Solon to Kirtland is 26 minutes and then Solon to West Farmington is 34 minutes. Laura works in Solon so she is very familiar with the area. It is a safe, booming, town, with lots of restaurants and shopping! The hotels are located near Nestle and Swaglock, but just down the road you will run into the shops and restaurants.

Are children invited?

Answer

As we love children dearly, only immediate family's children are invited. The amount of people on your RSVP card will be the ones able to attend.

What should I wear?

Answer

Our event is formal attire, men please wear suits and ladies cocktail dresses or evening gowns. Our reception is in-door and out-door, to walk the grounds of the property please wear shoes that are comfortable and will not sink into the grass for your safety.
