Let’s Celebrate!

It all started with a swipe. Kevin and Kristine matched on Bumble while Kevin was in Destin, FL for training and Kristine was home between travel contracts. They met up one night during an ugly sweater bar crawl. Kevin ended up meeting Kristine’s brother and most of her cousins that night. She figured if he could handle that then she’d give him a chance!

After Kristine left to her next travel contract in Hawaii, her and Kevin began texting everyday which turned into FaceTime’ing everyday. Kristine took a trip to visit Kevin in Japan for a weekend and left making this thing official, on May 12, 2019 :) They ended the long distance and moved to Destin, FL. During their time in Destin, they made many amazing memories. They endured multiple TDY’s, 2 deployments, getting a dog, and Kristine going back to travel nursing, all of which made their relationship even stronger.

Kevin’s family were in town for a beach trip. There were plans for pictures to be taken at the beach. As pictures of different combinations of family members were being taken, Kristine looked over and was surprised and overjoyed to see her family walking up the beach. Kevin called Kristine over to the water where she said in disbelief, “you’re not doing this right now, are you?!” Kevin dropped to one knee and Kristine immediately started to swell up with tears, where Kevin’s response was “are you going to start crying?!” He asked and she said yes! Kevin arranged for some of Kristine’s closest friends to be waiting back at his house to celebrate!
