Where is the wedding taking place?

Our wedding venue is located just south of Portland, at Abigail's Garden: 606 15th St. Oregon City, OR 97045 There is a big sign right by the venue that says "ABERNETHY CENTER" - you can't miss it! Link to website: https://abernethycenter.com/abigails-garden/

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please plan to arrive between 4:45 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. The ceremony will begin around 5:15 p.m.

What should I expect after the ceremony?
Answer
After the ceremony, the immediate family of the couple will be taking pictures in the garden. Guests can head to the reception area for drinks and hors d'oeuvres. Dinner will be served around 6:00 pm, with dancing to follow.

What weather should I expect?
Answer
Of course, we can’t guarantee anything, because Oregon is famous for its rain and its wildfires, but typically Augusts are hot and dry. Remember to bring sunscreen, deodorant, and a hat!

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
The ceremony will be outdoors; the reception will take place in a tented area overlooking the ceremony location.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is Cocktail Chic. Since our ceremony will take place in a garden with a lot of greenery, we recommend summery colors and avoiding high heels.

What is the parking situation?
Answer
We are not providing any formal transportation for the events, but our ceremony and reception are taking place in the space area. There is ample parking for those who feel comfortable driving, and Lyft is a great option for those who don’t. Please stay safe and default to a ride service or carpooling if you plan to drink.

Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair-accessible?

Yes! There is also a golf cart on site if needed.

While we love kids, we hope it is understandable that our wedding will be child-free.
