There once was a mermaid princess who lived under the sea. Though independent and not in need of a merman, she nevertheless longed for someone she could explore the ocean with, fin in fin. One fateful day she happened upon a shored boat. Unable to contain her curiosity, she explored the vessel and found a peculiar object - a rectangular screen with an apple logo. Upon closer examination of the apparatus, she came across an app - “Coffee Meets Bagel.” In a deep roar, the app asked the mermaid what she sought in a mate…and a fun story to share as an icebreaker. At her reply, a flash…she opened her eyes to find she was on land, without fins nor gills. A man with a lanky frame and wind-swept hair approached her. Instantly enamored, they walked down the beach, into the sunset, and began their happily ever after.

At Date #1, after wining and dining Terry at a local Thai & Laos restaurant, sparks were flying. They talked into the wee hours of the night with the movie Moulin Rouge as the backdrop. Fast forward to Date #2 - Eric took a risky maneuver and brought Terry to the Mutter Museum, an eclectic collection of anatomical specimens that explored the mysteries of the human body. He really built the house so-to-speak on the fact that she was in medical school studying to become a surgeon. He must've gotten it right though since she agreed to Date #3!

After a night of dinner and dancing at Tierra Colombiana - Terry began to fall for Eric and his strange, unconventional, unapologetic dance moves. Charmed by the fact that when together, they could fully be themselves and be loved for who they were, they plunged ahead through all of the conventional dating milestones. They moved in together, to a sunny condo by the Art museum, and added Zaia to their family! Eric supported Terry through her toughest years as a surgical resident, and at the end of her intern year, on a post call day, swept her away to Ocean City, NJ to ask her to spend the rest of their lives together. It was the easiest decision she’s ever made.

We now live in Mannayunk - in the first home we’ll own together - and are so excited to tie the knot, surrounded by the people we love most, at the place where our lives together began. We are so grateful for the patience, love, and support you have all shown us over the years and look forward to seeing you all in October!
