Can you believe that a relationship like this started on a dating app? I still am dumbfounded every time I realize that our paths might never have crossed without it. Aaron and I matched on Bumble in spring of '21, and immediately hit it off. I quickly stopped caring about any other messages I was getting from that app! We wanted to try to start out slow, but we sure didn't make it long. We talked over messages, met in person, started going on dates, and then he asked me to be his girlfriend... all in exactly 30 days. Now over a year later, we still have those messages copied and saved, and we're stacking up as many adventures and memories as we can fit. I’m beyond grateful that the Lord decided to put us together.
Aaron and I knew very quickly that we both really liked each other a lot. On our first official date, he planned and surprised me with the whole thing, brought me AND my parents flowers, came inside and met them, had two restaurants picked out because only one took reservations, the whole nine yards. He later told me about a moment on that first date, when we were sitting on a bench at the spring blooms event we went to. We were tired from walking and just leaned on each other and enjoyed the scenery, talked a little bit. After we got engaged, he told me that he looked at me and just had the feeling come over him that he wanted me to be his wife. 10 months later he proposed to me in the exact same spot. It was a lot soggier in February, but it was perfect. (The photo at the bottom of the page is us in that courtyard right after his proposal.)
