Mike and I grew up farming the living room carpet together and transitioned to whiffle ball and backyard football games. He’s been a great role model and I am thankful to be able to call him my big brother.

Betsy’s mom started to babysit me as a baby, and the rest is history! I’m pretty sure some people still think I’m the 4th Wiederhold child because of how often I was at her house growing up. Lifelong friendships are so special - we’ve gone from playing “house” with our baby dolls and dressing up as brides, to today with her oldest son being our ring bearer.

As Mike went off to college, Jake and I spent our days together playing video games, swimming in the pool, and playing hockey in the driveway against each other. Jake is one of my heroes as he is currently serving in the Navy and we can’t wait to have him home to join us to celebrate.

Mikala was my “big sister” in our sorority at Miami. We hit it off immediately and I remember hoping she would pick me as her “little.” She was like a mom away from home for me in college! We always have a blast together and I couldn’t imagine our wedding day without her.

Colton and I grew up playing football and baseball together. We both share a love for football and he continues to try and get me to come coach for him at the high school he coaches at. He is someone who I can call and he will drop what he is doing to come and help me out.

Carly is another longtime friend of mine. We went to elementary, middle, and high school together. From our flute playing days in band class (lol) to being in each other’s weddings, she has always been such a caring and kind person who I’m blessed to have in my life!

Cody and I didn’t know each other until after high school graduation and we went to rival high schools. He tried to break my ankle in high school but I have since forgave him for that incident. Cody has been a great friend and is someone who I talk to on a daily basis.

I met Sarah in my freshman Psych class at Miami. We realized we lived in the same dorm and then joined the same sorority. We’ve had so much fun together over the years, including living together our senior year. P.S. Sarah, I hear the wedding band takes requests - I’m thinking “Rich Girl” by Hall & Oates?
Tim Hoover

Tim and I went to Illinois State together and shared the same major. He let me sleep on his couch one summer while I was coaching football during our undergrad years. You can find Tim coaching tough, hard nosed linebackers at the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. We may not see each other as often, but whenever we get together we pick up like we saw each other yesterday.

There’s nothing like old friends! Emily and I attended elementary, middle, and high school together (pictured: Twin Day in HS). I have always loved Emily’s sense of humor and down to earth personality. I can always count on her to remind me of the importance of marriage compared to the “wedding day.”

Austin, also known as Audie, and I grew up together holding down the line of scrimmage throughout our younger years. I spent many nights staying at Audie’s house where we played pick up basketball in his neighborhood and WWE video games late into the night.

Lauren was one of my roommates while we survived SLP grad school together. We bonded over working in a nursing home during a pandemic, making horrendous looking brain models in our neurology class, and frequenting only the finest South Bend bars in our free time. She is a guaranteed good time and someone I can always count on.

Jace has welcomed me into his family from the first time I met Mackenzie’s family. Jace and I are always talking about the latest sporting event going on and discussing the upcoming football seasons. We may or may not discuss some game lines and spreads if we have any action going.

Bailey and I both lived on Western Campus during our freshman year at Miami (aka far away from everything.) Once we joined the same sorority, we walked to events together and eventually became roommates our sophomore and senior years. Whether we were going to church together at St. Mary’s or country night at Brick Street, we have always had so much fun and I’m so thankful for our friendship!

Andrew and I lived together in Indianapolis for 2 years. We were always in the kitchen together cooking up something new that he wanted to try. Andrew is someone I go to for advice on things and we love to share our life events with each other. He keeps a list of movies he has rated and there’s some pretty interesting ratings (Crazy Rich Asians comes to mind).
