Meet Us in Our Happy Place

No, no, no...we didn't date until after college but it did, technically, start in middle school. Fast forward 11 years to New York City. Annie had a previously planned trip to celebrate her 25th birthday in the city with her closest college girlfriends in March of 2018. Jeff was living in New York at the time and, since they had always been friends, Annie invited him to join her for the celebrations. The trip was amazing and so much fun but back to Wilmington she went.... In September of 2018, another trip to NYC was planned....to "celebrate Annie's half-birthday." Looking back it was probably an excuse to spend more time with Jeff but little did they know, they would be spending a LOT of time together over this trip. As Hurricane Florence quickly approached, Annie vacated Wilmington, NC and headed to the airport for her flight. What was supposed to be a weekend trip turned into a 10 night stay in various hotels and Jeff's humble home...an old NYFD rescue boat. The days were spent roaming the city, traveling by boat everywhere they went, truly enjoying each other's company. Slowly but surely they were falling in love. Once the trip came to an end, Jeff and Annie never stopped talked, he moved to Wilmington, and the rest is history! Since the beginning of our relationship we have gone on countless adventures including a 3 month cross-country road trip, many trips to Isle of Palms, and so much more. It's exciting to think that their life together is just beginning!
