Taylor and Hannah met through Bumble, a dating app where she makes the first move! The first date was at Houlihans (who doesn't love the chicken and avocado eggrolls, amIright or amIright?). The first date was a success and they found many similarities to be somewhat the bedrock of our personalities. Taylor has a great sense of humor and, since Hannah is the funniest person in the room, it works out well. The second date was much more intense than anticipated. Just a few days after the first date, they met at Shawnee Mission Park for a "walk". Here's where the stories may differ - Taylor explains it as a long walk, while Hannah believes it to be just short of a marathon. Regardless, both can agree that it was a really great day spending time together. Hannah found Taylor's easy-going, laid-back personality to be refreshing as he was always up for an adventure and a willing participant to try something new. They loved spending time with each other, talking, laughing and dreaming of the future. They became "official" on 10/31/21 and knew there was no one else for either of them. They were both introducing each other to family and friends. The months since their first date have been full of special moments together. They both love to travel! Which, is another one of their passions that is so great to do together. Hannah loves to share her love of history with Taylor. And, while he can only tolerate history for so long on a trip, he does love spending time with her while experiencing different parts of the country, eating seafood in the best coastal restaurants and laughing about all the mishaps along the way. We all are so excited for the next chapter in their lives and anxiously await their wedding in October 2023. We hope that you will follow their journey.
On Saturday, August 13th it was a day like no other. Taylor was so excited to put together a team for Adult Field Day. What Taylor had not truly experienced yet in their months as a couple, was Hannah's intense competitive nature. After an extremely hot day of outside competition where they placed not nearly high enough for Hannah's liking, the team went back to Taylor's house for a post-game recap. Hannah, newly showered, hair still soaking wet, was summoned outside to where she found Taylor, ring in hand on one knee asking her to marry him. Completely red faced, hair drenched and starving, she said YES!!
