Cocktail attire is perfectly suitable for our wedding. Think nice dresses, dark suits, or something you might wear to a nice church service. If you are really feeling the Christmas spirit, we would love to see some festive attire!
That, my friend, is a very good question. The "winter" in Texas is unpredictable. In early December, temperatures range from 50-60°. However, it's not uncommon for a sunny and 75° day to surprise the whole state. Do be sure to check the weather leading up to the wedding. You should be safe to wear long-sleeves and a coat and still feel comfortable.
Yes. Dinner and dessert will be provided. For our out-of-state family and friends, what would a visit to Texas be without Tex-Mex? We'll enjoy a dinner of beef and chicken fajitas, rice and beans, salsa, guacamole, and, of course, queso. But good queso - none of that stuff you'd find in Virginia or Tennessee.
2:45 PM If you're on Andrew time, you'd arrive 30 minutes before, and if you're on Kristyn time, you'd be walking down the aisle with her. Let's meet in the middle and say arrive ~15 minutes before the ceremony just to be safe.
and Andrew has got you covered! Anything you might need to plan ahead on (like hotels, parking, car rentals, and the like) are detailed on the Accommodations tab.
Yes. The church has two parking lots we will be using, so parking will not be a concern.
YES! We love children and want to all families to feel comfortable and welcome, including their children. Childcare will be provided for all of our family and friends with little ones. Just be sure you tell us how many kids are coming so we can plan accordingly. That way, Mom and Dad can enjoy the evening and the kiddos can have fun as well.
Kindly, no. While we both love taking photos and want you to be able to capture the special moment too, we would appreciate if you would join us in being fully present by putting away all screens. We want to see the joyful faces of the people we love! And when we look back on the photos our photographer will capture, we want to see your beautiful smiles, not a bright phone screen. We appreciate you keeping phones off and away until after the ceremony.
All Saints Dallas - the church where our wedding and reception will be held! We love our church. ASD has been a place of friendship, community, healing, and formation for us these last 3 years. It's where we met, where our friendship began, and where our love has grown. We are excited for you to visit the place and meet many of the members who mean a great deal to us today.
Dallas. We are grateful for the community we've built here and would love to host all of our out-of-town/state friends and family for a visit in the future!
Kristyn is from the Pineywoods of East Texas, a small town called Woodville you've likely never heard of before. Andrew is from Northern Virginia, often considered the suburbs of Washington D.C., though locals don't claim that term of residency. Kristyn has adjusted to a city that's 750 times larger than her hometown. Andrew has adjusted to Texas' eight months-long summer. Together, we've loved making Dallas feel like home.
Not quite... But give it some time (and Kristyn her way), and he'll be saying "y'all" before you know it.
