Where Should We Stay?

Answer

We kindly ask that all our guests stay at our host resort Excellence Riviera Cancun. We want our wedding celebration to be a vacation experience for everyone, and we'd love to spend some time with you outside of the Wedding Day, be that at the pool, by sharing a few meals and drinks together or on an excursion. We have provided a Promo Code which will allow our guests to book discounted rooms (minimum 3-night stay) at this resort and we ask that you make your reservation directly through the hotel website.

When Should We Arrive?

Answer

We will be hosting a Welcome Cocktail at Excellence Riviera Cancun on April 28, 2023. We would love for you to join us for that. You've traveled all this way, so you might as well make a vacation out of it and join us as early as possible. Our Promo Code is available until February 18, 2023. We recommend that you arrive at least 1 day before the wedding day, but please come and stay as long as you'd like.

Is There A Dress Code?

Answer

Please dress in beach semi formal/cocktail attire for the Wedding. Think Beach Chic & Elegant. This includes dresses, long pants, dress shirts, and blouses. Absolutely no bathing suits, t-shirts, tanks, shorts, beach sandals or flip flops.

Can I Bring A Date?

Our Wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Are Kids Invited To The Wedding?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But Excellence Riviera Cancun is an adults-only resort.

Can I Take And Post Photos of the Wedding on Social Media?

Answer

We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. We have hired professionals to capture this major moment in our lives and would hate to have a phone/device blocking any part of this moment for our professionals to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want!

What Do We Do About Transportation In Mexico?

Transportation to and from Excellence Riviera Cancun is provided by the resort's complimentary shuttle bus when booking with our Promo Code. Check out our Travel & Accommodations page for all the info you need.

Do We Have To Stay At Excellence Riviera Cancun? Can We Stay Somewhere Else And Still Attend Your Wedding?

Answer

While it is not required to stay at Excellence Riviera Cancun to attend our wedding, we do strongly recommend staying at this resort. Please note there is a $100 fee for all outside resort guests.

What Is The Weather Like? What Should We Pack?

Answer

Riviera Maya, Mexico is typically warm and humid -- temperatures are usually in the 80s to 90s. We recommend bringing light summer clothing and swimsuits. Other helpful essentials include sunblock, water shoes, swim coverups, flip-flops, sunglasses, etc. Think beach vacation with formal attire for the wedding day.
