In 2015, before beginning a new chapter at Pepperdine, Natalie and I met at a sendoff party where I made it my goal to get some kind of conversation going with her. During that first year, we would pass each other on the way to and from classes, smiling and waving, but not much more given we were both pretty shy. However, in 2017, I asked her to go on a date - we toured all the art galleries in Laguna Beach because I knew she loved art (she’s a great artist too!). We began going on a few dates over the summer, but little did we know this wouldn’t be the real start of us. Though the timing was off then, we managed to stay friends. We gave it another shot after we graduated in 2019 while I was finishing a summer class and Natalie was still working close to Pepperdine. From that point on, we started to spend every weekend with each other and pretty soon, almost every day during the pandemic which oddly helped us grow even closer. Fast forward to now, we have lived together, started our careers, raised a puppy (Louie), and now getting married after she said yes to me on an anniversary trip to Santa Barbara. Natalie and I have gone through these big chapters together, but for this one, we can’t wait for you all to be there with us, helping make it the biggest one yet!
